Janko Bosch (b. 1976) is a Dutch photographer, designer and publisher based in the Netherlands. His photography is characterized by a dual focus on landscapes and intimate studio photography.
His latest project, Walking on the Edge of Civilization, is a comprehensive exploration of the Dutch coastline. Traveling from the northeast to the southwest, Bosch documents the shifting boundary where land meets sea, capturing contemporary geopolitical and environmental nuances through his lens.
In addition to his landscape work, Bosch is an accomplished studio photographer. His projects often explore themes of identity and power, such as in his collection Dressed, which features striking black-and-white portraits celebrating feminine strength and sensuality.
In 2011, he founded the imprint Zoink by Zaptronic, through which he publishes limited-edition photo zines and books. His publications, such as Today I Found a Dead Bird and Vertical Street, reflect his commitment to finding beauty and narrative in the overlooked details of reality.
His work has been published in a range of print and online publications, including: All cities are beautiful and LFI magazine.
Parallel to his personal practice, he serves as a lead digital designer for Mediahuis. He previously worked as the digital art director for the Dutch newspaper NRC.
Bosch is a member of Dupho (association of professional photographers in the Netherlands).
